In 2000, Galana acquired 50 gas stations in Madagascar. Since then, Galana Distribution Pétrolière (GDP) has expanded its network to include 65 gas stations. Today, GDP enjoys a 30% market share in the oil retail and consumer segments of Madagascar. Supplied products include Diesel, Mogas RON 95 Kerosene, LPG, and Lubricants.
In 2013, GDP launched its own brand of lubricants.
For several years now, the company has been supplying various mining companies, notably including graphite, nickel, rare earth, granit, ilmenite, coal, chrome.
Several thousand metric cubes of Fuel are supplied per month to mobile and Fixed Engines, extractors, and power generators. The company has demonstrated its capacity to provide solutions for small, medium size, and large sites in mining. We also provide support through a dedicated onsite team, such as at the biggest nickel mining project in the country, and one of the largest in the world.
