An ideal geographic location
The Toamasina complex is the region’s only refinery with access to modern harbor facilities – a unique strategic advantage for crude imports as well as finished product exports.

A diversified slate of value-added products
Crude oil, purchased from oil producers in the Middle East, is shipped by tankers chartered by the Galana Logistics department. It is refined at the Toamasina Refinery, which is run by a highly-qualified team of more than 300 employees..
Equipped with advanced refining processes, this facility produces a diversified product slate, including motor fuels for passenger cars and trucks, aviation fuels and heavy fuel oil for power stations.
The region’s only LPG producer
The Refinery also produces liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and is the sole facility in the Indian Ocean/East Africa region to do so. The new bottling plant is designed to turn out 2,000 cylinders per day to meet rising demand for this clean fuel.
